Exploring the Future of Virtual Production

The visit began with an introduction to DossGuava XR Studio and its role in Indonesia’s growing virtual production industry. The team explained how XR technology combines physical filmmaking with real-time digital environments to create immersive visual experiences. Students also learned how virtual production is changing the way films, commercials, and digital content are produced.

Through presentations and project examples, the speakers introduced the studio’s creative workflow. They explained how technologies such as Unreal Engine, LED volume displays, real-time rendering, and camera tracking work together throughout the production process. As a result, students gained a clearer understanding of how creative ideas can be transformed into cinematic experiences using advanced digital tools.

Learning from Industry Practice

Beyond introducing the technology, the DossGuava XR Studio team shared insights into the collaboration required within virtual production. They explained how filmmakers, designers, 3D artists, and technical specialists work together to create seamless visual experiences from pre-production through post-production.

Furthermore, the speakers discussed how technological developments continue to reshape the creative industry. They encouraged students to remain curious, embrace new tools, and continue developing both technical and creative skills. Their experiences demonstrated that successful creative professionals combine strong design thinking with a willingness to adapt to emerging technologies.

Interactive Discussion and Q&A

Following the presentation, students participated in an interactive question-and-answer session with the DossGuava XR Studio team. The discussion covered a variety of topics, including virtual production workflows, career opportunities in the XR industry, project collaboration, and the skills needed to work in technology-driven creative fields.

Students also asked about the growing role of artificial intelligence and game engine technologies in creative production. In response, the speakers emphasized that technology should support creativity rather than replace it. They encouraged students to build strong creative foundations while continuously exploring new tools that can improve their design process.

Studio Tour and Hands-On Experience

The visit concluded with a guided studio tour, allowing students to experience DossGuava XR Studio’s production environment firsthand. During the tour, participants observed the equipment and technologies used throughout the virtual production process while learning how different creative and technical disciplines come together in a professional studio.

This experience helped students connect classroom concepts with real industry practices. More importantly, it broadened their understanding of how design, storytelling, and technology continue to shape the future of creative production.
