IMOVICCON 2025 took place on November 20–21, 2025, at UPH Lippo Village, Indonesia. Earlier, the team opened a Call for Abstracts, with submissions closing on October 10, 2025. The conference carried the theme The Cultural Shift from Moving Image to Image Moving. It explored how visual culture continues to evolve. In particular, it examined how traditional moving images now intersect with interactive media shaped by digital platforms, AI visuals, and social narratives.

The program included keynote sessions, panel presentations, special talks, and film screenings. As a result, the event brought together academics, practitioners, and industry professionals from diverse backgrounds. Notably, speakers such as Andree Emmanuel Widjaja, Prof. Wang Bin, Peter Hegedüs, and Riri Riza shared their insights. They discussed technology, creative practices, and the social impact of today’s media landscape.

Throughout the two-day conference, participants joined both onsite and online sessions. They engaged in discussions across multiple panels and topics. Moreover, these exchanges encouraged interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration. Participants also reflected on the shift toward a more adaptive and participatory image culture.

Finally, the program concluded with a closing ceremony and contributions from participating institutions. This moment highlighted a strong spirit of global exchange and creative exploration. We sincerely thank all keynote speakers, presenters, and partner institutions for their support. We also thank all attendees who joined the event. We look forward to welcoming you to the next IMOVICCON!
